No active license detected after SoundID Reference 5.3.0 update

Note: Despite the implemented fix, it is required to follow the steps one last time after updating. 

 

No active license detected after SoundID Reference version 5.3.0 update 

We are aware of some users encountering a No active license detected error message in the SoundID Reference standalone app or the DAW plugin after updating to the latest 5.3.0 version. This message may show even if the license is activated on your current device.

Resolution

To resolve the error message, you should reactivate the license on your device, please follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Sonarworks.com account;
  2. Click on "Manage" below the license key;
  3. Click on "Deactivate" your machine and deactivate the device;
  4. Click on "Activate on this device". This should reactivate the license on your machine.

If the steps above do not resolve the issue, please delete the user.json and license.json files as instructed in this guide: Activation issues with SoundID Reference software. Once done, make sure to reactivate your device again.
