Term: Bandwidth

  1. The useable frequency response of an audio device or system along with its tolerance, such as 20 Hz – 20 kHz (± 3 dB).
  2. Used to describe the range of frequencies affected by an EQ or filter band, often referred to as Q (Quality factor)
  3. For digital systems, the amount of data transferred for a given amount of time. A network may provide a bandwidth of 1 Mbps (1 megabyte per second)
